A shade late!

Updating my own home, slowly!!
Antique to Glamtique!
Apologies for the long time between posts, my day job has been keeping me extremely busy. I am also attempting to update my own  interior at home!  That is probably the hardest task for an interior designer, we simply have too much choice and are too tired at the end of the day to think about it!  I love using old and vintage so made use of some hand mirrors that I had collected. I tied them with ribbon to make a hanger and grouped them together as a display.  This definitely comes under the Glamtique catagory!

I spent Sunday with a fabulous bunch of ladies aka the Pink Ladies craft group from Simply Create . Kath did a great workshop on Christmas hangers, see her blog for the tutorial, it's stunning! The talent that is Anne, ran a sewing workshop making quilted, patchwork, shabby chic cushions.  They were beautiful! I did a quick demo in lampshade making and I hopefully showed how to get a professional looking, designer shade for a fraction of the cost!

Here are some photos of some shades I've made recently from fabric remnants. I tend to use silk but at the demo I  used cotton from Simply Create stock and they came out fab! I stupidly forgot to take any snaps of the ones made on the day.
I do like a bit of trim!!
